City of Cayce Hosts
Diaper Drive to Support Power In Changing – The Diaper Bank of the Midlands
January 12–23 | 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
CAYCE, SC — The City of Cayce
is partnering with Power In Changing
to host a community diaper drive from January 12 through January 23, 2026,
during regular office hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The drive aims to collect diapers and baby essentials to support local
families experiencing diaper need, a critical but often overlooked challenge
that directly impacts family health, childcare access, and economic stability.
Diapers can be dropped off at Cayce City Hall during business hours
throughout the drive. All donations will directly support Power In Changing’s
mission to provide diapers and basic necessities to families across the
Midlands, helping parents keep their children clean, healthy, and able to
attend childcare.
“Diaper need is not just a parenting issue it’s a workforce, health, and
equity issue,” said Ayanna White, Executive Director of Power In Changing. “We
are incredibly grateful to the City of Cayce for stepping up as a community
leader and creating space for residents and staff to support families in a
tangible, dignified way.”
Nationally, one in two families struggles to afford enough diapers for their
children, and diapers are not covered by SNAP or WIC benefits. Local diaper
drives play a vital role in filling this gap and ensuring families are not
forced to choose between diapers and other basic necessities.
Community members are encouraged to donate disposable diapers of all sizes,
especially sizes 4–6, as well as pull-ups. Every donation helps strengthen
families and supports children’s health and development.
