Water Notification
Beginning Sunday, August 10,
and continuing through the next few months, Cayce Utilities will be conducting
its annual flushing program throughout the city as required by the South
Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES.)
The flushing is a routine
maintenance activity that helps maintain high water quality and ensures the
proper operation of our water system. This process includes opening fire
hydrants and releasing water for a short period of time to remove any buildup and
sediment from the system.
🔹 What to Expect:
- Flushing will primarily
occur overnight to minimize disruption.
- You may experience a
temporary drop in water pressure during flushing in your area.
- Some residents may
notice slightly discolored water the following day; this is temporary and
does not pose a health risk.
💧 If You Notice Discolored Water:
- Let your cold water tap
run for up to 3-5 minutes.
