Public Notice of General Election 2025

A Municipal General Election for the City of Cayce will be held on Tuesday, November 4th, 2025. Any person wishing to vote in this Election must register no later than Sunday, October 5th, 2025. Voter registration by mail applications will be accepted if postmarked by Monday October 6th, 2025. Early Voting for this Election begins on Monday, October 20th, 2025 and ends on Friday, October 31st, 2025. The Early Voting center will be open from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (closed Saturday and Sunday) at the Lexington County Registration & Election Office- 605 W. Main Street, Suite C. Lexington SC 29072.

Filing Opens: 12:00 pm August 1st, 2025

Filing Closes: 12:00 pm August 15th, 2025

Filing Fee: Checks are made payable to “The City of Cayce”

State Ethics Filing: Candidates must complete a Statement of Candidacy when filing. A Statement of Economic Interest form and Candidate Campaign Disclosure must be completed ON-LINE with the State Ethics Commission at http://ethics.sc.gov. For more information, contact the State Ethics Commission. This is a Non-Partisan Election and No-Party Affiliation shall be placed on the ballot.

At 1:00 pm Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, the Lexington County Board of Voter Registration and Elections will begin its examination of the absentee ballot return envelopes at Lexington County Voter Registration and Elections Office, 605 W. Main Street, Suite C, Lexington SC 29072.

At 9:00 am on Thursday, November 6th, 2025 the Lexington County Board of Canvassers will hold a hearing to determine the validity of all provisional ballots cast in this Election. This hearing will be held at Lexington County Voter Registration and Elections Office, 605 W. Main Street, Suite C, Lexington SC 29072.
