HOUSEHOLD

TRASH

COLLECTION

All household garbage must be in plastic bags. Our refuse collectors have been directed not to empty containers that are holding loose or raw garbage. Please keep our City clean and litter free by putting garbage in securely tied plastic bags and placing it out for collection on the morning of pickup—and not before!

SUMMER PICK UP SCHEDULE

As a reminder, the city picks up bagged household garbage twice a starting the third week in April and ending the last Friday in September.  Pick up dates are either Monday/Thursday or Tuesday/ Friday. Schedule for second pick up is as follows:

Tuesday                 Friday

Thursday                Monday, same week

Friday                    Tuesday, same week

YARD TRASH

With Fall on it’s way, residents will be busy planting and cleaning their yards. To serve all our residents with utmost efficiency, please note the following:

Bagged yard trash will be given priority over unbagged yard trash and will be picked up on your regular household trash collection day.

Our Sanitation Department uses a pitch fork for unbagged yard trash collection. There may be times when we are unable to scoop up the entire pile and some debris may be remaining.

TIRES

A collection fee will be charged to pick up tires. The cost is $3.00 per tire (with or without rims). Payment must be received in advance of pick up.  Please call the Director of Sanitation to arrange for pick up at 796-9020, ext. 3044.
