HELP PLAN THE FUTURE OF CAYCE

The City of Cayce is pleased to announce that City Council unanimously passed a charrette or "visioning" process to create a master plan for the City of Cayce.  That is a process that utilizes the voice of residents and city businesses to say where our city will go and how we will look.  Please mark your calendars for late May and plan to participate!  We'll get you more information as we get closer.  As much as you, our residents, love our city, we know you have many ideas and hopes for Cayce that you will be able to share during this process.  This, ideally, will help us to beautify our city and make it an even better place for our residents to live and play and our business community to thrive.  It will also help us to diversity the types of businesses that are here in Cayce for you to be able to shop, eat, and spend time.

We want everyone to have a say in planning the future of Cayce. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey. We look forward to hearing from you.

City Takes Action to Ensure Water Quality
The City of Cayce is actively working to resolve periodic water discoloration issues in certain locations in our service areas. To identify solutions and eliminate the problem, the City recently completed an in-depth study with the city’s engineering firm, American Engineering Consultants, Inc. Recommendations from the study are being implemented and are helping the City prioritize current and future steps that will maintain the integrity of the city’s water system. Information gained is also helping Cayce leaders evaluate where lines need to be upgraded.

The City of Cayce is pleased to announce that the Lloydwood Subdivision sanitary sewer project is nearing completion. This project was made possible through a joint effort with the following agencies:

  • SC Department of Commerce Water & Wastewater Infrastructure Grant - $190,000
  • Lexington County Community Development Block Grant - $95,000
  • SC Department of Health & Environmental Control Grant - $65,758
  • SC Budget & Control Office of Local Government Grant - $29,500
