CREW MEMBER II $13.31 - $15.73/Hour DOE
Performs tasks involved in the operation and maintenance of the City's water and sewer systems. Tasks include installing/constructing and repairing/maintaining water and sewer lines and taps. Operates a variety of tools and equipment including dump trucks, pipe cutters, hand tools, etc. Must possess a valid South Carolina CDL class A with tanker endorsement. Requires over six years progressive field crew experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
Must live within a 10-mile radius of the Utility compound on Airport Blvd. Will be required to obtain a Water Distribution license certification within 2 years. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
SUPERINTENDENT OF TREATMENT FACILITIES $44,425.45 - $54,010.15/annually DOE
The City of Cayce is seeking applications for the position of Superintendent of Treatment Facilities. This position oversees, plans and directs the activities and operations of the two divisions of the Utilities Department, ensuring compliance with pertinent regulations, permits, ordinances and standards.
Preferred requirements include High School graduate with vocational/technical school training in water and wastewater treatments and 5-7 years supervisory/management experience in all phases of water/wastewater facilities operations. MUST possess “A” Water Treatment and “A” Biological Wastewater Treatment Certifications. Must possess a valid SC driver’s license and have a good driving record.
SANITATION TRUCK DRIVER II (front-end loader) $12.57 - $14.85/Hr. DOE
A valid Class B, South Carolina Commercial Driver’s License with a good driving record is required. Must provide DMV record at time of first interview. This individual would operate a sanitation truck on an assigned route picking up and collecting solid residential and/or commercial refuse (early morning route). Instructs and directs the activities of assigned refuse collectors.
Must have Front-End Loader experience. Preferred requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent with at least one year of practical experience operating heavy trucks or equipment or any combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
