The City of Cayce Utility Department currently has the following positions available:
CREW MEMBER II
$12.92 - $15.27/Hour DOE
Must live within a 10-mile radius of the Utility compound on Airport Blvd. Will be required to obtain a Water Distribution license certification within 2 years. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Performs tasks involved in the operation and maintenance of the City's water and sewer systems. Tasks include installing/constructing and repairing/maintaining water and sewer lines, taps and other related equipment. Operates a variety of tools and equipment including dump trucks, pipe cutters, hand tools, etc.
Preferred requirements include 1-3 years mechanical/laboring experience in a municipal water and sewer utility environment or any related work. Must possess a valid South Carolina CDL Class A with tanker endorsement.
WATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR
The City of Cayce currently has a position available as a licensed Water Treatment Plant Operator. This individual performs a variety of duties necessary for the production of potable water at the City’s state of the art treatment facility. The starting salary range is $12.20 - $14.41 for an Operator D to $16.70 - $20.20 for an Operator A, plus holidays, commensurate to applicant’s certification level and experience.
Preferred requirements include High School graduate with vocational/technical school training that will provide necessary knowledge, skills and ability for the position.
