Advisory Boards, Committees and Commissions
Cayce citizens have an opportunity to actively participate in running the city through their services on a number of advisory boards, committees and commissions. These groups help shape and carry out policy.
A Cayce staff member works with each board to help it conduct business. Each board has regular meeting days and times, although they may be altered by holidays. These meetings are open to the public and are held at the City Hall Complex, 1800 12th Street Extension.
Meeting schedules and schedule changes are announced on the city's web site and posted at City Hall.
Local citizens wishing to apply for appointment to a City of Cayce board, commission or committee may submit a potential member application to the Municipal Clerk, P. O. Box 2004, Cayce, SC 29171. You may obtain a copy of the application by calling City Hall at 803-796-9020 or download potential member application form.
The City of Cayce is looking for volunteers to serve on the Cayce Planning Commission, Cayce Municipal Election Commission, Cayce Housing Authority, and the Accommodations Tax Committee (State Law requires that this position be filled by someone from the hotel/motel industry located in the City of Cayce). Members who serve on the City’s committees must either live or work within the city limits. Accommodations Tax Committee
Administration Department (803) 796-9020, ext. 3023. Meets as needed on the second Tuesday of the month, at 8 a.m., City Hall Conference Room. Makes recommendations to the City Council regarding approving funding requests for events and activities that attract tourism to the city. (click here to download application to request funds)

Beautification Board
Planning & Development Department (803) 796-9020, ext. 3054. Meets the second Tuesday of each month, 5:30 p.m., City Hall Conference Room. Makes recommendations to the City Council on project to beautify the city.
The Beautification Board is currently accepting potentital member applications for one position on the Board. Columbia Housing Authority, (803) 254-3886, Ext. 211. Meets the third Tuesday every other month, 5 p.m. City Hall Conference Room. Works with Columbia Housing Authority officials to adapt State and Federal financial aid programs to our area's housing needs.

Housing Construction Board of Adjustment and Appeals

Cayce Historical Museum Commission
Cayce Historical Museum (803) 739-5385. Meets on the second Wednesday of each month, 4:30 p.m., Cayce Historical Museum. Studies and preserves the history of the area and acquires exhibits historically significant works.

Board of Zoning Appeals
